Most plant failures announce themselves internally long before they stop
production. The G Series gives a maintenance team a fast, affordable way to
look, record the evidence and decide. Because the image processing does the
hard work, an operator does not need to be a specialist to get a usable shot.
A screen you can read on the floor
The 5″ IPS touchscreen holds its colour and contrast off-axis, so you
can angle the unit awkwardly and still see the defect. Sharpness runs
across six levels, and images can be frozen, mirrored, flipped and
zoomed four times for a closer look at a crack or a wear scar.
Glare suppression and low-light compensation
Machined metal reflects the probe's own LED straight back at the camera.
Highlight compensation (HLC) offers two levels of glare suppression to
kill that hotspot. Backlight compensation (BLC) does the opposite job:
two levels of exposure lift that pull detail out of dark cavities and
extend how far down a bore you can usefully see.
Probes change in seconds
The tube uses a socket connector, so a probe plugs and unplugs by hand
in the field. One base unit therefore covers several jobs. Buy the
combination of tubes your plant actually needs instead of a separate
instrument for each diameter.
A tube that survives the plant
The insertion tube is built from 316 stainless steel with four braided
layers. As a result it resists abrasion and corrosion, and the probe
carries an IP67 rating for wet or oily work. Probe temperature range runs
from −20 °C to 60 °C.
Evidence you can hand over
Photos save as JPEG and video as MP4, both up to 1920×1080, onto a
TF card of up to 32 GB. Micro USB copies files to a laptop and HDMI
drives an external screen, which helps when you need a second opinion on
site. Two replaceable 18650 lithium cells give at least six hours of
standby.
