Synerlec additive technology forms a tough, slippery, synthetic film on all metal surfaces. This proprietary film significantly improves lubrication: first, by increasing the oil film’s thickness, and second, by increasing the oil film’s toughness, both of which help to prevent metal-to-metal contact. Synerlec displaces moisture from metal surfaces and protects all metals against rust and corrosion. It also fortifies the oil against the detrimental effects of heat, which causes oil to oxidize.

Extremely Clean
Synfilm GT has a typical ISO 4406 Cleanliness Level of 14/13/11*, which is verified by a laser particle counter. Currently for ISO viscosity grades 32, 46, and 68 only.

The tough oil film of Synfilm GT coupled with its ability to micro-polish contacting bearing elements provides superior bearing lubrication and lower vibration.
Royal Purple Synfilm GT 46 is the world’s leading synthetic oil for compressor and turbo applications. One of the factors setting it apart is the superior cleanliness of ISO 14 / 13 / 11 Cleanliness is especially important for compressor lubrication, so it is advised to take care when handling and transferring the oil. Best practice would be to use a clean filter cart with 1 – 3 micron when transferring into the compressor reservoir. It is important to note that Royal Purple Synfilm will clean the deposits left by other lubricants, causing higher values on oil analysis. This does not mean the equipment is wearing faster, it is cleaning old deposits. After the first oil change analysis will show far lower values for longer periods.
The first oil drain can give the impression that Royal Purple has broken down, this is not the case at all. Solvency of Synfilm cleans wear metals and deposits left behind by previous oils.These wear metals and deposits can become soluble in the new oil, also causing abnormally high values on used oil analysis, until at least the first oil drain.

MULTI-PURPOSE SYNTHETIC INDUSTRIAL OIL (WITH SYNERLEC®)
Synfilm GT is recommended for use in gas and steam turbines, blowers and vacuum pumps, bearings, gears, air tools, etc. Synfilm GT should be considered instead of Synfilm when: oil reservoir temperatures exceed 200°F, improved low temperature fluidity is desired or when a viscosity grade is not available in Synfilm.
Synfilm GT is a clean, dry, long life, high film strength, energy efficient, synthetic lubricant that significantly increases bearing life and equipment reliability. Synfilm GT rapidly and completely separates from water, has very low temperature fluidity, provides excellent protection against rust and corrosion and is extremely oxidation stable, allowing for long oil life and extended oil drain intervals. It is NSF Certified for H2 service.
